Impact Charity.... Xmas Fayre.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we will be holding the Xmas Fayre at the Charity shop opposite Cagney's Bar, under Rays Laundrette. The Fayre will start at 10am. Entertainment with Dutch Dave providing entertainment from 12 onwards.
There will be cake stalls, tea & coffee, tombola (cash prizes) and raffle prizes, €20 shopping voucher, meat voucher, drinks hamper and other prizes.
We're hoping to see many people there and enjoying the day.
There will be many Xmas decorations on sale and all clothes will be reduced for the day.

Impact Charity would like to thank the "Stage Struck" theatre company who today donated €297 euros worth of food today.
The Charity is planning to spend a minimum of €1000 euros next Friday on food for the needy. The Charity is hoping it can add a few more hundred euros to this amount from what is made at the Fayre tomorrow.

If anyone would like to pop along and just donate a few tins of food they can spare please do so. The Charity is trying to gather as much food as possible for the Xmas holiday for the needy.
If anyone would like to donate but can't make it to the shop please email the Charity on

I'm sure that it being a Red day will also help to make the event be well attended

Impact Charity would like to thank everyone who came along today and supported us, even if it was just buying a cake to a raffle ticket.
A huge thank you also to Bar Amsterdam, what an amazing bunch of guys, also to Dutch Dave who can only be describe as one in a million.
We were also very lucky to have Pia sing a song or two. When she done a solo song she had everyone standing watching her, she is probably the best singer this We have had heard on this Urb. She is performing at Benidorm Palace next May, so we thank her for the songs she done.
A thank you also goes to the Pam and Ann for running the tombola, Sylvia and Karen for doing the cake stall, Pets in Spain for providing Tea & Coffee for the day.
A bigger thank you to Kate, Hannah, Mary, Denise, Christa, and Bob for running around all day making things tick over in the shop and dealing with the raffle and guess the weigjt of the cake and Paul & Andrea for turning up as Mr and Mrs Xmas.
As of yet a grand total for the day has not been counted, it will be posted on the forum tomorrow or Monday.
On Friday the 14th Dec, Impact Charity will be doing a huge huge shop. We still need help with cars to take the food back to the shop. Of you can spare a couple of hours please contact us.
Thank you to everyone who turned up today and made a difference.

I thoroughly enjoyed helping out in the shop at the Christmas Faire, and secured myself a shift in there, which I will enjoy doing.
I too bought a steak pie and lost it somewhere along the way lol So it was a frozen fishermans pie for dinner, instead of the lovely pie I was expencting to tuck into. All I can think of is I put the pie on the roof of my car whilst bringing in my purchases, and forgot to go back out for it. Someone had a nice dinner on me lol No probs at least I was still well fed.
Wonderful day, the organization and entertainment where faultless.
All I need this coming year is a dog to love and care for and my life will be as I wish it to be.

Oh you are Dopey Dee - he he. We've got one safely in the fridge for tomorrow's dinner. I will let you know what it was like xx

guess who had just found her steak pie. I am going nuts believe me. I got home very tired and hungry as I had only had a slice of toast all day, and had pushed the pie inbetween a big bedspread I had bought. Pulled the bedspread out to try on my bed and the pie must have fallen out of it and onto the floor. I then covered the pie with the bedspread.
I have just gone to change my sheets and removed said bedspread, and hey presto, pie on the floor.
Thank goodness it is winter so the bedroom was cold enough not to turn the pie off.
Sunday dinner sorted.
Mind I do still feel like cooking so will still make the chicken and sweetcorn curry for my lunch.
I am so lifted and all because of a pie lo
Soon cheered up me.

See Carol I kndw I had my uses lol I make myself laugh sometimes, as when I saw the pie on the floor I thought it was a present from the cat so was reluctant to pick it up. It is now in my fridge and will make a lovely nourishing dinner when I get back from the dog walking session. A spot of creamy mash and some lovely thick gravy, ummmmm thank goodness I found it.

what womderful news on the funds raised by the fayre yesterday. The hard work by some kind volunteers was well rewarded, this amount I am sure will go a long way to help the orphanage.
