Earlier this week it was apparently agreed by our local Council,that the tax on water and sewage disposal will be increased by 33% and 66% retrospectively.As from next month.
I only write this to inform the residents of San Fulgencio of this fact,as the council dont seem to be able to find a way to do it themselves.
Alan, where did you get this information, if it is correct it will make for a big increase on our Aquagest water bills.
Perhaps we could have kind of confirmation back from Jeff to confirm this one way or another. Plus out of interest to us on the Urb will it also affect San Fulgencio itself.

This info.is on a local website,possibly run by an ex-member of the local council.
I often read the info.to gain knowledge about the running of the council,although it is obviously biased at times(it only gives you the bad news)
it normally has some merit.
I dont think you need to worry too much about the % increase as it is only on the tax increment(the bit the council keep) and not on the Aquagest total.
At least i hope that is correct

just realised on my initial comment ,i made a couple of errors,the sewage tax increase is only 63% and not 66%.
And more important the word retrospectively,should read respectively.
The increase is meant to be from next January,sorry must admit to not being perfect sometimes (ha ha)
On the reccomendations of Valencia, the increases are indeed on the tax payable. Therefore on a typical bill of €100 this will amount to an increase of around €3.
This increase, I believe , will effect the whole of the municipality as well as other municipalities in the Region
Also this increase will mean that there will me more cash available for the essential repairs that occur for pipes etc.
come on Jeff YOU BELEIVE well if you do not know how the hell are we supposed to.
You were elected to represent us and you beleve give us a break.
So if it is more than €3 on €100 you or the Ayuntiemento will pay the difference I do not BELEIVE YOU WILL if you are going to reply just give us the facts and do not give us politicians waffle.

Yes but David the vast majority of people come to live in Spain because it is cheaper to live here but, you cannot expect your pension or wages, whatever the case may be, to go up and utilities to stay the same.
