Dog tags etc

I am reliably informed,that just recently the local police have had a blitz to local dog owners checking the dogs have tags,and that some have been warned,about being penalised,if they are not purchased soon.could you give us some straight numbers on what is happening at the moment. Have fines been introduced,has anybody been fined,how much is the fine.Also the same information about dogs fouling footpaths,and not having leads on in public areas etc.I am beginning to believe this council is quite gutless when comes to getting the police to carry rules made be the council.
I am trying to find somethink positive that has been done in the past months,to make me believe this council is any better than previous ones

The police often drive by us when we are out walking Sara Dos and have not once stopped us.

She does not have a tag, but she is chipped and she does have a passport.

When we are walking her along the streets she has her lead on and if she were to poop on the path we would pick it up.

But, when she is on the verde she is not on her lead and loves running around and playing and most of the time she goes right into the thicket to go to the toilet.
