Laser Eye Surgery

Has anyone had the laser eye surgery in the area and can recommend a surgeon?

Quesada

Hi there
I had laser eye surgery 3 years ago in the uk absolutley marvellous. I was really really scared but as i do a lot of sports my specs were such an inconvenience so i took the plunge. surgery was nothing but the recovery period over the next 24 hours was rather uncomfortable where the water just streamed from my eyes constantly, not painful but uncomfortable. I slept for the first eight hours (nytol) as recomended. I woke up and my vision was amazing

I now have to put up with white lite which is a bright halo around the eye when driving at night, its common. my eyeballs felt tender from time to time with the odd headache over the next couple of weeks, all of which I had been advised about well in advance during the consultations.

no chance of geeting it done for 3 hundred per eye thats rubish you cant get one eye done anyway. I paid 3 thousand, mine was Lasik its not the same as laser, more advanced and available to a lot more people depending on your eye prescription.

when im on quesada i must wear my sun glasses at all times during the day as light and sun sensitivity are a a factor after the op.

Overall worth every single penny, id do it again in a heartbeat but its not for everyone. I used Ultralase newcastle upon tyne, same place as jonathon edwards athlete, youve seen his advert on the telly.

good luck with it let us know how you get on

I had the lenses of my eyes replaced and then laser surgery as I had severe astigmatism. Had it done here on Quesada at Clinica Cimo (Dr Lago)

Hi I live in South Africa and had laser on just the one eye 13 years ago. I wanted just the one eye done because I wanted one eye for reading and one for distance. After the initial period of "balance and getting used to it " my eyes settled and I have never looked back. This meant I did not need spectacles which was great. So you can have just the one eye done. The cost was 1'300 pounds for the one eye, but that was 13 years ago!

hi to the person who had one eye done 13 years ago
maybe it was something entirely different to the procedure I had or it depended upon the eye prescription. The advice given to me from three seperate providers was "one eye cant be done"

hope this helps

I was planning to have lazer surgery on both eyes but, after having the one done (in my case) found it most painful and decided not to have the other one done. It took about two weeks for my eyes to settle having one eye (the laser one) for distance and one for reading, but it worked out well for my to just have the one done. Not sure if it was a different procedure to yours!?
