Dog Attack

I am writing this as a warning to anyone who walks their dogs in the area south of the Police station on La Marina.This is my first posting on the site and i apologise for the subject.
At about 5.30pm last night I was walking my 2 Cocker Spaniels up Carrer de Montserrat Cabelle when 2 large ( light coloured no markings) strong mouth dogs who were off their leads in a fenced off area with their owner, ran under the gate and attacked my dogs. They went straight for their throats and it was an horrendous experience. After the attack as it took some time to release the dogs grips, the offending dogs and owner walked quickly off whilst I was attending to my two bleeding dogs.
I have never seen these dogs or the owner in the 4 years I have been walking my cockers.
The offence was reported to the Police but with no information of where the dogs live it is difficult for any action to be taken. One of my dogs was lucky not to have lost an eye, and both of them their lives.
I do not want to frighten anyone taking their dogs out, just to be aware of what happened.
I would also like to thank all the people who came to our assistance, and the ones who transported us home with offers of taking us to the vets.

All those plots are owned by local builders. Most plots are locked, so who ever was on the plot was either the owner or a member of his staff or someone who had been given a key. Police should be able to track that down.

I think every one would be most interested in any further updates on this disgraceful episode. Hope the police are contacting the plot owners. Would of thought that the town hall had all that information to hand.

I am sorry to say that there were no locks on the gates of this particular piece of land.
My 2 cockers have visited the vets again tonight and the wounds are healing,yet still tender in parts due to the deepness of one particular wound. Next visit Friday. I would like to thank all those who have added comments or called at our house for an update on their condition and given support.

I am amazed that as yet,no one seems to of reported the owner of these attack dogs to the police,surely unless these dogs are transported onto the Urb.Someone surely must know of these types of dogs either living near them or walking near them.
If the owner and his dogs are not found,how will we feel when the next attack(and their will be one)comes ,it could be a child or even an adult on the end of it.You are not helping your neighbour in not reporting him,you are possibly saving someones life,or someones pets life.

I could not agree more Alan. This is a ticking time bomb they have smelt blood so it will happen again if this owner takes them out. If you know this owner and you do not wish to go to the Police I am sure Jeff would act as a go between after all he is our Councillor.
