El Osias Roads.

Hi Councillor Jeff and your 17 man council.
When I voted for your party at the last election, you promised that the roads in El OSIAS would be on one of your priority list. You have been in power for a while now, have you got any further than the promise stage or has it been put on the back burner. Our roads are awful, more like a third world country. It is reducing the price of our houses and the life of our cars. Come on play fair and give us some information on the roads in El Osias situation, Good or bad Please keep us informed.

I personally believe we are back to square one. If we want our infrastructure reinstated after being illegally removed, we the houseowners and rate payers are going to be asked to foot the bill.
I think it is time we all got together and went straight to Brussels to force the council to submit to their legal and moral commitments.

Fully agree. After a local meeting at the community center ,that Jeff attended, we were told that progress was being made but as usual NOTHING has happened. This needs to be brought to the attention yet again to Valencia and yes even Brussels

I am not a resident of Oasis, but if half of what has been said on this forum is true, then, Yes people on Oasis have been given a rough deal.
It is time for all residents of the Urbs. to stand up and be counted,if you cannot show your backing for these people, you may well be next in line after the Council have walked all over them.So it is time to stop ignoring this problem, and start shouting,I am starting to realise that without everybody backing these residents on Oasis, everybody loses.

I've no confidence in this council whatsoever...when the elections are due they will start spending a bit of money tidying up the streets by weeding the kerbs etc and only to get your votes don't fall for it next time. Oasis has been forgotten once more and their attitude is let them get on with it they couldn't care less and would rather spend money on rock concerts and the like. It really does amaze me that there always seems to be money for the fiestas (which I love) but not money for essential repairs and spraying of the urb both of which are hazardous to health and wellbeing when ignored. Lack of information is the problem and Jeff seemed more upset that somone had mentioned that he had a new car than on answering anything important on his blog which would help people to know what the council are actually doing for the people.

yes Negotiator,You are correct in almost everything you say,Only thing that was not quite correct, was that jeff was not answering anything important on his blog about informing the people on what the Council was doing for the people of the Urbs,Unfortunately he has said very little, but surely that is what has been done for the people on the UIrbs. VERY LITTLE

well said what about the roads in oasis

Commented robo18 in La Marina 2012-07-19 17:25:01 UTC

Robo 18,
I am sure if you read all the comments on this link,it is the roads on Oasis, that we are all talkingh about, they are part of the infrastructure that this council damaged and left. The shame of it is that whenever Oasis is mentioned on this forum we all wring our hands and say what a disgrace, and then we go onto some other subject.
It would be great if everybody on this Forum stated here and now what a digrace it is and lets get something done for the residents of that area,Please dont think it is not your problem,or their is nothing you can do about it,You can do a lot.

Well we have had few good comments . One suggested taking our case to Brussels. Surely we are not expected to spented our hard earned money which we worked for all our lives, on something which should be done in the first place.
What about our Euro MP surely this is case for he or she to look into. Why not get one of our free local newpapers involved and use it as a champion cause.
The roads in Osias are a disgrace everyone will agree with that even those who visit or live here. Who or what will be next? Come on Jeff lets get it sorted ane you may become everyone friend.

well said Smudge maybe we can contact the local newspapers and they could run a story and maybe catch the attention of someone who does give a damn because between me and you I really don't think it will be on the agenda for this Council just as it wasn't on the previous Councils agenda.

Commented Negotiator in La Marina 2012-07-22 15:11:14 UTC

Smudge,
When i say take our case to Brussels, I meant via our Euro MP .I agree with you we should not have to spend a cent to put right that which others have illegally destroyed, another option is to sue the last Mayor and her Council for willfull destruction of out infrastructure and get a court order for them to reinstate it, at their expense, I am sure they have plenty stacked away from their term in office.
