Councillors rewards!

I posted this on another comment but think it deserves it's own posting.

12th January 2012. Is it true how much the councillors receive for attending meetings which last approx 20-25 minutes. It says they get 625.00 euros for every meeting! That cannot be true!

Rock Arena one day July Fiesta: 23,000 Euros.

La Marina 'Virgen de la Paz' three day August Fiesta: 49,000 Euros.

San Fulgencio 'Virgen del Remedio' (over three weeks) September/October Fiesta: 62,000 Euros.

NO GRANTS have been approved by either Regional or National Government towards these costs.
It is definitley worth looking on this site, if true, to see how much we are being ripped off!

I think that site is run by Mark Lewis the EX English Council bod, however don't quote me, I may well be wrong.

Interesting site though, also a lttle info regards the crime on the urb.

So do we believe the amounts of money, our money, being paid out to the councillors and to the fiesta costs? 625 euros for each and every meeting?

If anything I believe what I'm reading off the la marina info site. They reported on the rock concert way before it happend and saying it would cost €20.000. Councillor Jeff said no it was under €10.000 then he went on holiday and came back to find out it was near €20.000.
There will be no PP - PIPN coalition at the next elections. I think the PP are fed up with the PIPN and the PIPN fed up with the PP

Personally,what councilllors and ex-coucillors,tell you is one thing,but it is the things they dont tell you that is more worrying.
Mark Lewis´s web site is erratic,with many things so biased as to be unbelievable,although as Andi points out ,he was correct on the Rock Concert costs,and was quick enough about the burglaries on the Urb.The Councillors payments for meetings,of 625 euros is slightly different,according to La Marina info,It is for the deputy mayors meetings not for all meetings,and I believe Mark picked a certain times when more meetings than normal occured. Also i dont remember Mark ever mentioning expenses when he was on the ruling party,in fact I believe he was Mayor for a day
Jeff is a different kettle of fish,he seems to have selective memory,At one time he says the Rock concert had to go ahead,because otherwise San Fulgencio wouldnt of got the grant from valencia.I tried to find out exactly how much the grant was for,and silence was the order of the day.So thanks to Jeff being struck dumb,I will obviously believe mark,and that San Fulgencio received absolutely nothing from Valencia.
So in my mind I wouldnt trust either of them,until they start admitting to some of the faults that is inherent in both of them.
Unfortunately we have a long time with the present set up,but will any other set up be any the more open and transparent
