Mercedes Garage

HI Carol, I spoke to a friend of mine yesterday re your car, he used to work as a technician for Mercedes in Alicante and he assures me that there is nothing unusual about the starter set up on your car, thus any competent mechanic should be able to sort it! Don´t go to Mercedes unless you have to it will cost a fortune, if you want my friends number let me know, he has a workshop in Santa Pola.

I highly recommend the Mercedes garage in Almoradi. His wife does not speak English she answers the phone, but Vincente speaks fairly good English, so you can ask to speak to him. It is best to speak to him face to face if you can. Bear in mind he is not always in the garage and is pretty busy when he is there.


When we first came to Spain we used Elche Mercedes, but we and another friend had major problems with them. In the end we had to report them to Mercedes head office. However, that was ten years ago, so things may have changed for the better. However, we, nor anyone we know, have ever had problems with the Almoradi guy, which is why we recommend him over Elche Mercedes. Labour costs are relatively low at around 30 euros per hour.

James is right! Try performance cars in Santa Pola! Avoid Merc garages when ever you can....thieves! I give up spending stupid money, on a job, a normal garage can fix like a starter! If your computer goes, then you are in trouble, and have no choice!
