FARMACIAS STRIKE

ASL Member Founding Member Post #16579 Replies closed

I fully back the Farmacias Strike, and wish them all success,in their fight to get the valencian government,to pay them the money that they owe the Farmacias, who for the last six months have been dispensing our prescriptions at their own cost,as Valencia are not paying them for the drugs they dispense.
I may be an early casualty of this,as my prescription is a once a week injection, unfortunately, due to low stocks, some medication is unavailable, mine has become a casualty,as a result I cannot get my injection, until next Monday at the earliest,in fact the Farmacia phoned to try to get some, but only five doses are available in the whole region.I have always to take the injection on the same day of the week, which should be today.I am lucky as i checked with my Doctor, about the tablets with the same formula, and she was under the impression that it would be possible to take tablets instead.I have some at home so for a short while my illness may be kept at bay,and not flare up,into a very painful debilitating illness.
As I say the farmacias are not to blame for my problem, that lays entirely with the big boys in Valencia

I too encountered problem because of the chemist closure, I also do not blame the chemists for having to take this stand, but was left for 5 days without medication for a serious heart condition. I managed by ensuring I did very little apart from rest up. All is fine now thank goodness, and I do wish the chemists luck and hope they are soon paid for what is rightuflly theirs. Senora Alto
