PRAISE

With all that is going on right now and lots of this and lots of that I thought it would be a perfect time to praise a local resident who is fostering two kittens for Impact Charity.
Since the start of January Impact has neutered over 50 feral cats on La Marina, this is with no help from any other charity or awareness raised by the local council.
The charity has 19 kittens and 17 adult cats these have all come into us apart from 8 adults cats since the start of the year.
Impact Charity would like to say thank you to Myra Davis for looking after two little kittens for us that will be off to there new home next week. Myra has had the kittens for a few weeks now, anyone who is a member of our Facebook will see regular pictures, short clip videos of these kittens. It is a big responsibility to take this on as you are also relying on the charity to follow through on what they say.
Impact will only foster out kittens that have been homed and are waiting to go, this frees up space and allows us to do more.
The charity provides everything, if there is a problem we will respond to what the problem is.
If anyone is looking to adopt a kitten or cat we would also like I stare this, no adoption fee is asked for, no money is asked for all we as is for the animal to go to a loving home. We eve take care of the neutering.

So thank you to Myra Davis for looking after two little special ones that were found dumped down by the canal a couple months back.

Also a thank you to Sue B she is also fostering 4 kittens

Thank you Impact for giving me the pleasure of looking after these two gorgeous kittens until they go to their forever home. They have given me so much pleasure. As I am not in a position to financially support you on a regular basis I feel that this is something I can help with. All it takes is a little love and patience. Impact supply absolutely everything you need even down to kitten toys! I would urge others if they have the time to foster cats or dogs xx

Praise where praise is due. There is one charity group of volunteers,  PETS IN SPAIN, that does not have a charity shop and they use their own cars to rescue and transport animals, these volunteers can be seen every day driving around with animals in their cars. Last week they rescued a distressed goat that had been left on a massive plot after the owner had died. The authorities knew about the goat but just left it there to die of starvation. Yesterday they responded to a call to rescue three small dogs abandoned on a dirt track next to a canal close to La Marina urbanisation. Despite calls to two other dog rescue charities based on the urbanisation and calling in at their shops pleading for help or advice, only PETS IN SPAIN answered the call to rescue them, arriving in their own cars. I ask everyone reading this to please support charities that actually respond to appeals for help. Updates on the dogs rescued can be seen here: https://m.facebook.com/petsin.spain1

Yes Sue I was there. I was one of them walking along the canal river bank trying to get the skinny, severely matted mum dog and eventually got hold of her.
A lady that looks after dogs for SATS couldn't even be bothered all the response was there full. Hold on, there's 3 starving dogs that needed treatment one of them has a severely damaged leg, if not broken the Spanish man locked that pup away in a barn. It's just nice to know that charities keeps asking for donations and money but don't help or always give a excuse we full up. For instance I myself have re-homed 6 cats in the past week, but instead of keeping numbers down, there is two more cats on the way there is a heavily pregnant cat coming Wednesday too, I've emailed other charities asking for help for feral cats on this urb but no one replies...
before anyone wars to jump on the bike and have a pop at way I've said, I gave a homeless man 3 yogurts this morning down at the super markets..
Also no donation is asked for, no money is asked for the charity covers all the cost for vaccinations chips and neutered and when added up that's about 180-200 euros. So yes praise the charities who are trying to take animals in, praise the bars who are making a go off it and taking stick.
Also I will apologise for running my mouth about bobs bar wether its true or not. That's that.

No I'm not slating charities I'm glad you went down to the kennels and saw the dogs and pups.
An yes I am involved in a charity and also work 3-4 days a week doing removals on the urb.
What I don't fuc&&ing like is charities mugging off the public end of story, this morning Dave Knight handed in two kittens and a mum cat that he said turned up at his house other day. Well funny thing is pictures on Facebook show these kittens have been around him for a while. That's the crap I don't like. People who have animals who the suddenly decide I don't want them, make some bull-sh"t story up and hand them into charity shops.
Believe me I know Eve works her ass off up at that SATS shop but its about fu&ki g time all the animal charities who have a constitution to abide by and, " help any injured or homeless animal" not ones try think they cat re-home, got together and worked together, ohh my bad to many egos in the way and crap.
So here's my call to K9 as you state on your website you are now looking for volunteers to help with the animals on La Marina, well here were are (impact charity) looking and wanting and needing help with the animals on La Marina urb.
So come on here is a plea to help with homing and looking after the abandoned cats and dogs. SATS is a different story there shops are to keep there kennels and dogs healthy

On a happier note, the pup that the Spanish farmer locked away in his barn, the pup who had a broken leg has now been rescued and is off to vets.

Good for her violet. Great going.

Commented Andi in La Marina 2013-07-03 13:43:16 UTC

Violet first of I'm not slagging no charity off in fact if you read through I've even asked for help from them.
That's like me saying oh yeah SATS opened a bar and it states all profit goes to SATS that's funny when by law anyone who works in a bar needs to be o a contract and paid wages then your paying there Taxes which is between 200-250 a month oh but wait people are asked to volunteer in the bar but surely that's against the law. See, that is me talking about stuff I don't know huh. Why all the other bars are paying taxes on there employees ect ect so is that all lies, Hence I couldn't not give a flying F,,, what's going on up there, I don't pay taxes for the 4 days a week I work, you think I care, no. This government ain't getting hold of my money... So you see how easy it is at the end of day eve does a great job up there and that's that.

Now,now Andi, remember your heart condition! And keep off the fatty breakfasts you have! You'll give yourself a heart attack and then who'll give the crap to all the other miscreants on our Urb?

Commented Peter Horsfield in La Marina 2013-07-03 15:30:26 UTC

Peter where have you been hiding. I don't even see you out and about driving no more.

Commented Andi in La Marina 2013-07-03 15:39:59 UTC

Sorry Andi but at the moment we are in Toledo!!! The grief being written on ASL has driven us away!
But not to fear we'll be back tomorrow. Maybe see you at breakfast soon!
Best wishes, Pete
