carreforre

went there today, looking for some books I need. When I went to the ladies there are no seats on most of the ladies lavatories. They haven't been updated it appears but that when they have been damaged they are not being replaced. I found a stall with a seat but won't go again
To me it seems a lack of respect for the customers. If there was a policy and reason for removing the lavatories and replacing them with a new design I'd understand, but there was one stall still with a seat. It appears they just don't replace seats. Is it once again just my old age, or would younger people object?

Mazza, I wonder why no one seems to comment much on this forum when we have so many knowledgeable people

What a silly comment Marko there seems to be lots of people posting very good information on this forum.

Oi,! cheeky face, just 'cause I've not been on here for a while doesn't mean I don't check it out now and again. Behave or I'll have to come over there and smack you. I think that nice person who posted that you seemed silly put you in your place (at last he ha ha ha) I'll have you all know that my derrier is very special to me. I've had it a long time and take very good care of it and will not, repeat, will not abuse it by putting it on those lavatories that have had their seats removed. They don't even have the good grace to remove the fixings. Now folks, this may be fine for the French, but my bottom is British and very fussy where it parks itself. That's all folks, the very lovely Mary Catherine

Mazza, not a chance of being put in my place. I was actually sticking up for your original comment. May be I misread the responses incorrectly.

davieselz, sorry but when was the last time you went to France?.

MARKO
You most definitely do not belong to the knowledgeable people to whom you are referring!

Commented Friendlyviking in La Marina 2013-10-05 18:27:24 UTC

Thanks for your opinion Vik. Coming from you, I'll treat it as a compliment.

when I lived in UK I had people living in my house for 11 years. 3 French , 2 Danish and various English. Non of them objected to having a lavatory with a seat. The french, one who lived with me for 3 years used to call me roast beef and I called him a frog.
As I've stated, Carrefor haven't installed lavatories without seats they've just not replaced seats and left the fittings in place, I think you're being a tad pedantic. I know that french lavatories are seatless but not with the fixings still in place. Now, I don't live in France I live in Spain but I still have a British bottom. OK the very lovely Mary Catherine xxx

Marko, at last I've started a sensible debate. British bottoms are in need of protection form the French. However, where is Alan in this debate. I used to enjoy our threesomes. Hope he's OK, xx

This forum grabs important things. Flip flops and toilet rings and British bottoms. What more could you want?

Hi jaytee, I was in France last year, obviously since you were there I think. A nice little restaurant in bagneres de-luchon no toilet seats or fittings. The same in AIX-en-Provence nuff said.

Hi Mazza
I am here still ,and fairly well thank you.
Personally while you have to debate if to queue at the one proper loo in Carrefour,I have decided to sit on the fence (much more painful, I believe )But like most Men we can multi task, we can go standing up or sitting down most of the time

Commented Alan in La Marina 2013-10-06 10:12:36 UTC

Alan, glad to hear your well. You forgot to mention that blokes don't necessarily need a toilet in the first place. Davieselz, we also have restaurants with toilets like that in Rochdale, no seat, no fittings, I think we go one better though as there's no copper pipe either.

Commented marko in Quesada 2013-10-06 11:22:24 UTC

MARKO
Who wants to go all the way to Rochdale just to pee?

Commented Friendlyviking in La Marina 2013-10-06 17:51:08 UTC

That's the question we all want to know the answer to!

Commented reindeer keeper in La Marina 2013-10-06 20:09:46 UTC

Well I have family in France and I am often there, in the past I have traveled through France and I have never found a toilet with out a seat. True in the distant past on the motorways you would find toilets that you had to crouch over, but not for a long time. Knowing the things go here I would guess that they found the toilet seats were being nicked and got fed up with replacing them. Nothing is safe here, even quit a few of the the shrubs planted along the bottom road disappeared.

"friendly" vik and Reindeer keeper, in answer to your questions, only Rochdalian's are allowed to 'Pee' in the town boundaries. All outsiders, take it out. I have pre-ordered two buckets for you with your names on with my compliments.
