ASL has this issue been resolved please? As I am still not getting the daily emails xx

ASL, maybe you could also look at updating the services section to clear out outdated adverts like I've asked for politely before. I can not get rid of the SELECT AIR CONDITIONING advert as I stopped using the the tag name on here and have since changed my email address. Therefore only YOU as administrators can remove it for me.

Marko,
Don't you think you are banging your head against a brick wall.

Commented Alan in La Marina 2014-05-19 14:30:44 UTC

Are you still updating or are you not going to keep people or the forum who you think might give you hassle, including myself?

Commented Caroline in La Marina 2014-05-19 16:48:48 UTC

Yes Alan, its giving me headache from the banging.
I'm afraid I don't agree with their business plan (because I'm a very tight Northener) and just want to remove myself from the services section. It can't be that hard can it? Unless your not in full control of the Admin.....
I will start putting my own contact details on here, just to check... Admin, you have one week from today.....

Right, Lets get this straight.
Marko has asked ASL for absolute ages to erase the advert you have for him on the ASL services page. In On the many times he asked, each time ASL completely ignored him.
So last week he made a promise to put an advert on here as a comment to see if you could or would erase that. Somewhere around 4pm today Marko was true to his word, but within minutes of his advert appearing it vanished. Presumably now hes advert on the services section has also vanished, or it is still too hard for ASL to do.
So well done Marko, I think you have shown why this forum is going downhill, It has gone after making a few pound by selling 'services' telephone numbers, Even when people didn't want their telephone numbers sold

Oop's, gone again......

I think Spanish life needs some competition.

ASL you reacted speedily to delete Markos advertisement yet you have not responded to questions as to why we are not getting the daily email from yourselves advising us of new comments on current posts and informing us of new posts. Bit shoddy really.

Marco
I gather your comments on the ASL Wall have been taken off by ASL.
As yet they still havn't bothered taking off your advert from the Services section of ASL. Anybody would think that this is all a bit silly, but really ASL you really are putting yourself in a bad light.

Commented Alan in La Marina 2014-05-29 17:10:41 UTC

Alan, I'd like to give the the benefit of the doubt and suggest that they don't have the technical know-how to delete off the services section. Thats why I put my contact details on, just to check out if they could delete that.

I'm trying really hard to be nice and polite but getting a little bit fed up with lack of action.

Marko,
I gathered what you were trying to achieve.
Personally my reasons go a bit deeper, and several years ago , when Steve ran ASL, and he got into having a pop at La marina Forum, which started quite meekly with a new name going onto la Marina Forum and asking them,if he could put a link onto a comment he wanted to make, he was told that the rules which he had access to was quite clear that only links to advertisers were allowed. Within minutes a comment appeared on ASL with the same name as appeared on the La Marina Forum. Berating the Lady who ran( and still does) La marina Forum. It didn't take a brain box to work out that at the time ASL were not charging for adverts and allowed links to companies free of charge, and were quite happy to wash there dirty laundry in public, Being a guy who doesn't mind giving a point of view,I backed (and still do) La Marina Forum as a helpful and well run Forum, And ASL as a rather light hearted anything goes, say what you like wnen you like sort of Forum. Surprisingly Steve disagreed with me. It was soon after this spat that the charges for giving company telephone numbers out started on ASL, with the profits said to be going to charity. That is how it stays to this day
