Street Lamps

Does anybody know why the Council are changing the street lamps from white light to yellow light. Is it a long term cost saving exercise, or is it to make the urb. prettier?

La Marina

The one directly outside my Villa has been changed from yellow to white, I imagine they are a lower wattage therefore making them cheaper to run.
Personally I wished they had done this years ago, because for the first time I have been able to leave the blind open at night and go to bed and not be blinded by the massive circle of yellow light. now I just see darkness, going to sleep with fresh air coming into my bedroom is bliss

Not important, but more interesting than some of the other topics on this forum!
Great news for Alan too!

I have been trying to contact councillor Jeff for two weeks about this to ask him if all the street lights in the Urb are going to repaired and upgraded, but he has not been in his office. There are some street lights that are not securely attached to the pavement, with bolts and nuts missing, and others with electric wiring protruding loose from them.

Roger, I have also been trying to contact councillor Jeff Wiszniewski. I was informed that he is on "another vacation" ( not my words but those of an administrator in the Town Hall urbanisation office)!
