Well, Not really that good a morning. Did a few things out and about then went down to Iceland. Just going in the door to do a large shop and Ian called me back - notice on the door - No Credit Cards accepted - only Cash. Well didn't have enough cash on me so back up to the strip to the German Bank. Decided to get 100 euros out to cover large shop. Bank Refused saying I could only have 70 euros - but they did state I had over 200 euros in account. So decided to check Account details - they charged me .75 cents for that (to check the account). Then decided to get the 70 euros out of the account (which they would very kindly let me have) (I really wanted 100 euros) - but they told me NO. Then cheeky barstards charged me 1.20 euros to get that out. It used to be Free - so won't be going back there. Has anybody else had this problem? Oh eventually did get the large Iceland shop done - nakered now. Siesta time !! x

Always look on the bright side of life. It was a big shop ,so you wanted a 100 Euro, you got your big shop ,spending under 70 Euros, plus a couple of euros as a donation to the profits of a bank.
So really you have cracked it, you are around 25 Euros better off than you thought you would be, So I think a couple of drinks for you and Ian would be the way to go.
Only joking, but it is either that or putting a brick through a window to vent your anger.

Alan - thank you for trying to look on the bright side of things,but you are wrong. I still spent as much as I would on my Credit Card because I had to add spare cash that I had in my purse to the 70 euros - so unfortunately didn't work out any cheaper. But yes, I think we deserve a drink tonight after all that

Do you know whether the credit card problem is temporary, or permanent, please Carol?

Only temporary but don't know how many days it will last. I believe it was something to do with their system/tills being vandalized by somebody stealing copper wiring and making the internet system go down. Well that's what the man on the till told us when I asked.

Just for info, Carol, we went there about 5pm today and they're taking cards again now.
Good of you to warn us all though and, by the way, nice to see the site being used for something other than members slagging one another off!
