parking problems.

Hi, I'm nearly 68, didn't start driving till I was in my forties and have no problem driving and can usually park well. One skill I haven't mastered is reversing into a spot. Can anyone help or am I too old to be taught. Is anyone able to help?. It would make my life so much easier. I've used hundreds of gallons of fuel looking for a spot that doesn't require me to back in to. I watch my kids, grandkids etc and I wish I could do it. Can you help

Mazza I have been driving for over 45 yrs and years ago I drove for the Sales Team at a Renault garage, in the days before power steering. I could park and reverse anywhere, but, since coming to Spain like you like to find a place to park where i can drive straight out. I detest reversing here. Perhaps its the fear of hitting somone and dealing with the Police, or it could be just old age!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have driven for over 30 years Mazza and I was never taught to reverse park, so I have to find a huge big place to drive into, or I get out of the drivers seat and my hubby gets in to park it hahaha, I am also worried about hitting the very high curbs here in La Marina.

Didn't I park the car well when we went out last night - 1st go and straight in and I have a very large car - that's the way to do it he he xx

I did note that my two younger friends Linda & Carol did not say "you are not old Eve", you soon find out who your friends are don't you!!!!!

Oh yes, Carol is a perfect parker, she definately knows how to reverse park, I need some lessons lol.

And Eve, you are definately not old, you are like a sprightly 30 year old on that dance floor lol.

Park alongside the car in front of the parking space, put a piece of paper in the middle of your back screen - when reversing use the piece of paper as a guide to keep the side of the pavement in view - hey presto - and youre never too old -
