UK TV supplier

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of moving over to Quesada and setting up a business selling UK sourced TVs and other AV equipment. Do you think there would be enough demand? I have bought electrical appliances from Carrefour and other Spanish retailers and find them quite hard work to deal with, especially when it comes to the warranty side of things. I am in the electricals trade in the UK and can source most makes and believe I can offer a much better level of pre and after sales service than any of the others I have come across whilst having my holiday home in Spain for the last 10 years.
What does everyone think?
I would love to know your thoughts.

Thanks, Derek

Quesada

I have just bought a new TV from an electrical shop in Habaneras. Connecting the DVD has been a nightmare as it has only 1 scart. I wanted to connect it through the little coloured plugs and it was impossible to get the right lead in Quesada or the advice from the existing electrical shop - who sent me to the chinese bazar. I have dont after a fashion now!!! Good advice and good quality accessories would be useful of course at a good price. Good luck

On balance I think thiscould be a good idea. I personally am a bit of a techno phobe however my hubbie really knows his stuff and he is for ever frustrated if we need anything electrical or gadget wise when were on quesada.

We have given up with our TV situation at the moment due to conflicting info so what about a freeview box, ive no doubt that would be a great item to add to your catalogue.

For the record weve had 7 kettles in 7 years from carrefour, yes( hahah) youd think w'ed learn but its matter of convenience on the day when your not a full time resident, so maybe that could be your target niche market- holiday rental owners requiring a quick, reliable solution knowing you are available for advice and guidance on the end of the phone.

Good luck with it

Thanks for the feedback. I am only a holiday owner at present and am looking at a way of making a living in Quesada so I can live here and the comments back up my experiences when I've purchased electricals in Spain.
I just need a cost effective reliable method of getting the goods from my distributors to Quesada on a regular basis. I've used Coles removals in the past to move a sofa, I'm sure they can help there.
Keep the comments coming, I think it will be worth my while putting an advert in one of the free rags like RTN and see what response I get. When I'm out next I will be paying close attention to the prices and making sure I can sell equipment at a competitive price whilst still offering the service.

Thanks, Derek
