Joking apart, this may be of interest to people with older cars, those that require an ITV

We had to re-new the ITV on our car on Friday, and we needed a part for it. When we went to buy it, the owner of the shop warned us what had just happened to his wife. She had her ITV done in San Pedro, and when she was stopped by the GC, she was fined and made to have the test re-done in an ITV station in the ALicante region. This is because the Valencian authorites (along with most other areas, except Murcia and Aragon), have introduced a new part to the test, and if your car is registered in the Alicante region, then it must pass this test. As the test isn't done in Murcia, the ITV isn't valid for cars registered within the ALicante borders.
We then checked this with the GC and the ITV station who confirmed that this is the case, so,please be warned (and you can check yourself by asking at your local GC office), until Murcia add this test to their ITV, any that are done there are not valid on an Alicante registered car.

Apparantly, the new ITV rules cover sound emissions
