I think it's still on, plus I don't think is was the residents who tried to stop it.
I gather that bar owners from other area's are's are not happy that they are missing out on the extra revenue.

If this is true it means that councillor Jeff and the Mayor were telling porkies when they told us that it was a local Community President that had threatened legal action if the fiesta were to be held in Consum car park this year?

I've never heard anything about the bars in other area's wanting to put a stop to things. I did hear that it was the president of one of the communities that had threatened legal action. However as far as Im aware the fiesta is going ahead as planned.
Who would these people take to court? the council who arrange the fiesta? Well i couldnt see that getting to court let alone winning a case. This is SPAIN fiesta's are what they do.

I agree 100% Nikki the fiestas are what we love about Spain..when is it tho what weeks in August??

I personally am sure our fiesta will go ahead this year,in fact ,we are back in golfers favourite sport,which is to wind up as many people as possible,he somehow gets a kick out of it,

As I understand it, the fiesta is taking place and yes I am all in favour of it and will be going to it, (not the foam thing though).

I personally have not heard of any residents complaining about the fiesta, only that the location should rotate or else be held in a central area so EVERYONE gets a fair crack of the whip, and yes, I myself agree with this principle.

Glad you havnt heard of a complaint,regarding the fiesta Golfer,But somehow i remember you making an apology because you misread a comment that a person claiming to be a community president had made a complaint regarding the fiesta being held in the consume area,and this was worrying the council,and he had employed a solictor to take action.In fact you made a comment on the lines that this meant another bar area,who wanted a share of the extra business.After it was pointed out,it had nothing to do with other areas complaining you put in an apology "that you misread the original comment."
You was one of the few comment makers who wanted the fiesta moved to the market place,"so that every bar on the urb.could put up a beer tent",other comments told you when held in the market place previously it was not well attended.
You kept on pushing for the market area,as you claimed it was hundreds of metres awayb from the nearest bedroom,when in fact it is a matter of 20-30 metres.
as i have said before you use selective words and memory,
I hope people reading your comments remember some of them as they will know just how devious your wording can be and will treat your comments with the contempt they deserve.
Personally I hope this bar/fiesta moaning stops right now,I have said this a few times on here lately,but until you stop with your wooden spoon,I will have to keep answering you.

So lets start again.

I understand the town hall will be in a possition to let everyone know where the August fiesta will be within the next 10 days or so, ourselves, Temptations, The Final Whistle, J's Cafe are among many bars & resturants that have organised a petition in favour of having the Fiesta in the consum car park, the petion will be submitted to the town hall on Friday 15th June. We at the Hog's Head have not heard of any bars from other areas complainig about the fiesta being held at Consum.
