Impact Charity 'Be Nice Day' 5K Walk

Impact Charity has been asked to represent San Fulgencio / La Marina in a huge fund raising event that will be taking place along the Costas on Sunday May 6th at 11:15am.

This event is being organised by Bay Radio in aid of Caritas, which is a Spanish charity that supports people who have been thrown into poverty by unemployment and find it difficult to support themselves.

Bay Radio are offering prizes for the most amount raised by an individual, team, bar / business who raises the highest amount along with a prize for the best costume. This is truly a huge event.

You can enter a charity, bar, business or take part just for fun. The registration is €5 and will be done through the charity chosen by Bay Radio, so for San Fulgencio and La Marina it will Impact Charity. The €5 registration fee will be donated to Caritas.

Sponsorship forms can be collected from the Impact Charity shop and will be available to download from the Bay Radio website shortly.

A meeting was held today with the Mayor and the Chief of Police, they will be mapping out the route which will start and finish at the Impact Charity shop.

20% of money raised by the volunteers of Impact Charity will be donated to Caritas, the remaining 80% will be divided between EMAUS, Impact Charity and the needy on the urb (food donations).

Impact Charity volunteers will be visiting bars and businesses looking for sponsors, at the moment we are putting the final touches to the paperwork.
