Police - everywhere

The weird thing is,that the guardia are checking bars and charity places,after the hassle this forum has had in the past few weeks with these two types of establishments,I never realised how much impact a local forum read by a small percentage of local people,could make such a difference in the way it is policed.perhaps if we had got rid of the trolls as soon as they appeared on this forum,the police may not of realised we had bars and places that help those in need.in La Marina.
Please dont take this comment seriously,Only trying to lighten the mood of the Forum Honest

Maybe be a simple thing, such as they need to top up their coffers.
It's not just on the urb either, just been in Benijofar, it's just the same, Police checking some papers in the bar I was in.
Could be with all the unemployed Spanish they are checking the papers or whatever of the staff employed by the bars.

Well Its just very rare you see 4 gaurdia civil cars, then they get straight on the radio and two more cars appear. Then the local police. It was like a scene from CSI. It's all strange that all this is just happening now.

Did think about them topping up their coffers,and you said about new uniforms they were wearing,and my next thought was how busy are they going to be when they need new police cars.
Got to be light hearted,about this otherwise i would be getting on the first plane back to U.K.

Well all I can say is that a lot of people were complaining that there were not enough police in the area, looks like they have got their wish

Very true tina. At the end of the day there just doing there jobs no matter how much we may like it or not

Dark Blue Uniforms were being worn by the National Police on Monday when they visited our bar. They had as you say golfer come to check paperwork, contracts and licences.

My initial comment was about the lack of local police on the urb at bar closing time between 1 and 4 am. Still no change, still no police at that time of the morning. .
With unemployed Spanish figures being so high, I think that there will be a crack down on people working off the books. However it will not be only La Marina, it will be everywhere

I tried to go to Brico Centre this morning but it took more than 55 mins to get there but the Guardia were turning people away and all the dual carriageways and service roads on the n340 were absolutely heaving with very little movement. Does anyone know why?

The Police were near the Brico because of the sale

The traffic chaose was because of the Brico Depot 24hr sale. Every road within half a k was full of parked cars and trucks. Some people were pushing loaded trollies around the roads way away from the Brico Depot. We did go in, but the queues went all around the store to the back walls, so we walked out again, as we didn't fancy waiting for hours.

Thanks for the replies guys. I thought it must be that as there was no sign of an accident and they then blocked the roundabout leading to the Brico Centre. All that advertising must have paid off in spades for them!!!
