LA MARINA GOLF SOCIETY


36 players traveled to Alenda on a sunny but crisp morning. After waiting with trepidation to see if the late comers would turn up we managed to set off on time. The course was in superb condition as we played for the Mike Barber Memorial Trophy.

We played Mikes favorite format a Texas Scramble and the scoring was very tight. The winning team with 44 points was;
Aidan Byrne, Terry Skelton, Dennis Hone, Ernie Lynham (guest).

Nearest the pins were: Hole 5 Tim Ruse, Hole 7 Alan Craig, Hole 11 Frank Juchaur, Hole 17 Bill England
