La Marina, what is going on

I wanted to express the sadness I feel for the good folk on the La Marina urbanisation who are suffering at the hands of those who feel that they have to have a knock at every twist and turn.
I joined ASL quite a while ago as I was looking for forums that could benefit me with their words of wisdom as my wife and I were coming out to the Torrevieja area to live.
Forums have always been in my experience a place to seek advice from those experienced in life in a particular genre and then eventually to pay back by giving their own experience to help others. This should promote the forum in itself and encourage a community spirit.
I have read and watched over a fair few months now the goings on, on this particular forum and it is so sad that the community spirit that should be there is simply not.
It is true there are a few good threads but in reality most are either started in all good intentions and then hijacked and the thread degenerates into a slanging match, or the threads start out with a gripe and just go down hill from there.
Never on a forum have I seen so many posts deleted for behaviour that as adult people should simply not exist.
Arguments and criticism are daily and whilst to an outsider they may at first seem amusing and worth a read underneath the words their lies some true resentment to peoples lives in the area.
If people want to promote the area as they should for the benefit of all then it does not make sense to keep portraying La Marina like some do. There are folk out there who want to buy into Spanish life and many are internet savvy and will be reading all that is put on here and would anyone say in all honesty the way La Marina is portrayed that someone would want to buy into it. You have a real opportunity to promote your urbanisation, the businesses and your way of life, but red what you write and then ask yourselves. Would I want to buy into this.
I would love to come visit to support all your area has to offer but you make it hard when so much negativity is promoted.
Kind regards

Nigel
