WHAT ARE COUNCIL GOING TO TRY TO DO FOR LA MARINA URBS:

For the first time since I have lived on La Marina Urbs. We are to be Governed by one party. They were not my party of choice, but were the party of the many.
Lets try to forget the rights and wrongs and who done what and who said what. Just like to know what the PP have stated what they intend to do for us, and hopefully how they intend on doing it. I would like to know what parts of their Manifesto they will carry through to the end, and what parts may have to wait until the 2019 Election. I have been told that the Council is in the Black, the vast majority will quite rightly scoff at that idea, so if you want to tell us idiotic things like that,Please don't bother, Would be good to follow the Council while they achieve their aims. Who knows they may be worthy of a vote in four years time

La Marina

Alan i don,t think anyone will know if and when right now as it,s too early after the elections, but i,m sure they will do their best, like any political party anywhere in the world things change but time will tell, i for one hope that they do what they told us they were going to do? If they do what Labour done to the uk and leave a note telling us the kitty is empty then we will know never to trust them again, keeping fingers crossed for the urb but we all need to give them our support for now weather we wanted them in power or not. This is just an opinion of course

Brittania,
I understand what you are saying, but a while before the elections, each party should of produced a Manifesto which basically tells us what they wish to achieve, if they control the new council. I was able to get sight of four of the six manifestos, The PP manifesto is one of the two I haven't seen.
I enjoy politics, and each Party should of produced a paper setting out their plans. That is what I wanted to know about.
I have learned in life that trust has to be earned ,it is not a right that you get regardless. So what I want is to know what the intentions of the council are. I do not expect everything they wish to do, to be achieveable.
But if they again promise openness etc. then surely we are entitled at least to see what they are going to be about, It may well be that they have manifestos with all the answers I need plastered all over the place
But people I have spoken to havnt seen one,

I agree with what you are saying Alan. But even in the UK Political Parties are to say the least a little tetchy about manifestos after elections. But over hear they most probably shred them (only my opinion). PP I would say are faced with a huge problem anyway even before they start they only seem to have the one English speaking person ie Paulino. So cant see how they are going to even start to deal with all us foreigners.
In passing wonder if they will bring the train back for July August and September?

Ian,
I seem to remember reading about the train, Apparently the owner wanted to go to the beach but Elche Council turned down his application on the grounds that it would not be safe, because of the weird set up of the roundabout at the ceramic shop, and it wouldn't be able to negotiate a safe turnaround at the beach, The owner wouldn't of been able to secure a profit without the beach run. But who knows what will happen in the next few months.

I am a bit worried. A few days ago I asked if anyone had got a manifesto of the PP Election promises. As yet no one has either admitted to having one or mentioned anything that was written in it., I am sure some ex-Pats voted for the PP and surely knew what they were voting for. As we are in this for the duration of the Council (minimum 4years) I would like to see where the PP promise to take us.
It doesn't bode well at the moment as the Mayor cannot or will not say where our Fiesta will take place, although lots of people are guessing,

Well Alan you should have got them all before the Election then you would be in the know instead of sticking with Jeff or you could go and ask Paulino. He is still at the Police Station until the 13th when he moves to the Office for the Urbanisations.

David,
Must admit not as sarky as normal, I tried to contact Paulino before the election, then after election day Paulino said on here that he would return in a few days and would be at Council offices off the strip He said nothing about returning to the police station in between. As I asked ,did you get one David,if so why not put some of the pointers on here,

Hi just to say that they do seem to be tackling the roads around Oasis at last. Paulino has always said he would do his best as far as Oasis was concerned and he knows that the roads are really bad. It has taken years to get this far but at last there does seem to be something happening or example street lights done and pavements being started well at least kerb stones being put in now although it is very slowly and there should be more workers and equipment there but perhaps cost is the issue and they are trying to keep the payroll down. Anyway it's not going to be finished for some time but I'm just so glad to see something being done at last however slowly.
