SCHOOLS IN THE AREA

I have a 8 year old boy and a 18 month daughter and we are considering re locating to the Quesada/Rojales area. What schools are in the area? Is there anywhere we can go for advice on how we start the whole process regarding moving and schooling???!!!
Many thanks

Quesada

Hi.

The school would be Rojales or Benijofar.
My children go Rojales and are very happy there.
You have missed the enrollment period for the new school year, you can only apply for a place the last 2 weeks in May.

Rojales is a Spanish speaking school but my grandchildren went there and they got extra help with Spanish (when the Spanish kids were getting english) and within a few weeks the were very settled with a good grasp of the language. very friendly but no nonsense approach by the staff. there are pupils from around 27 different countries, so obviously they can not teach all the children in their native language.

No, Spanish state schools.
The nearest international school is the mar azul 15 minutes away. It is a fee paying school around 300 euros per month, which is very cheap compared to others.

hello, i will be moving also to quesada with my 5 years old son and family, i heard that you should go to the Padron with all your docs and enroll your child.. i hope thats the way it works out, i dont want to miss the schoolyear either.:-) if you registered as a resident he must enroll him to school. right? :-)) Alex

I came with my children aged 5 and 10, 8 years ago. We had to go to the town hall in benijofar (yours may be rojales) and register on the padron as living in the town. For this we needed proof we had an address in the area ie, electricity bill with our name on at the house. Then you have to take your padron with yours, the children and their fathers photocopy passport, birth cirtificates and NIE (which you can get after your padron from Orhiuela with same documents) .... the school has to accept you if you live in the area even if you move mid school year
