COST OF LIVING PLEASE?

Hi all, can anyone give me an idea of the cost of living in Spain,in particular Quesada Alicante area please? Things like food, utility bills, insurance,TV, phone etc. Plus yearly bills like rates and taxes on a 2 bed apartment? Can anyone also recommend a good interpreter and cost of one in Quesada to sort out state health cards etc? Is the cost of living less or more than the UK? Oh yes if any agents reading this the cost of a 6 month rental for a 2 bed ground floor apartment please? Thanks Pam.

Quesada

I would say that, besides the cheap fruit and veg on the markets and cheap wine available, the cost of food is the same as the UK. With regard to bills, well they are cheaper. Having no council tax helps and anual cost of running a house. My brother rents out his one bedroom house for around 400 a month which includes utility bills so I would guess if you rented an apartment it would be around the same.

Thanks a lot Lisa. That has given me a very good idea, and good news is that it is cheaper then England!

Looking forward to moving there!

I have lived here for 10 years and agree generally thingsn like meat are about the same especially as you have supermarkets in a price war - send me your email address as I know a very good and fair rental agent that I can put you in touch with. [email protected]
