LIVING IN SPAIN

I have been in Spain for 5 years and have been asked by some friends from England if I think it would be a good move for them to come over and live here. I am finding it hard to give them an answer as I do not know if life is that easy now in Spain, I would like to get some ides from others living here as to what they think. They would have to rent a place and find work, they do have some starting money but not a lot. Any thoughts please as to what I should be telling them about life in Spain.

I guess for us who have been here five years, the adventure has taken some twists and turns, but the positive side is that when we arrived there were a lot of dead beats and so called professionals who had reinvented themselves and made a lot of money from the then innocent Brits. I only wish we had sites like this one up and running so that we were not ripped off by these vagabonds who have now milked the honey pot dry and moved on. In answer to your question, your friends will now reap the benefits of these new times, where only the genuine lovers of Spain remain to ride out these hard times. Thank you for your posting, it will be interesting to see others point of view.
